European Testing Week
Nov.
18
until 25 Nov.

European Testing Week

Week 47 is the second European Testing Week of the year to draw attention to the importance of getting tested regularly if you are sexually active regardless of your relationship status.

Carrying an undiagnosed sexually transmitted infection (STI) or HIV can have unnecessary consequences on both fertility and, in the worst case, health.
By getting tested regularly at one of the various clinics offering testing, you not only prevent the consequences of STIs or HIV yourself, but also protect your sexual partners.

Find out more about where you can get tested by following the link below.

ENGLISH (Swedish below):

Welcome to a pre-lunch webinar on the theme:

Are we ready? Comorbidities, health economics and the future needs of people living with HIV - A Nordic and European Perspective

The online webinar is taking place on Tuesday May 28th between 10am and 12:15pm CEST.

Register your participation: https://forms.gle/MbebZ8L3imFS94Ni6

Speakers:

Giovanni Guaraldi - M.D and Associate professor in Infectious Disease at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia

Lars Holger Ehlers - Professor and Director at Nordic Institute of Health Economics

Moderator: Emanuel Karlström, Strategist, HIV-Sweden

Language: English

Description:

Several trends can be discerned in the 40-year history of HIV, from palliative care to the current designation of HIV as a chronic, treatable disease. With an aging target group and the changing care needs of people living with HIV, we are in the midst of an ongoing paradigm shift with demands to adapt care and resource allocation.

Join us in this interdisciplinary session, where we tackle questions like: What is the cost of comorbidity and aging in people living with HIV? How can we better prevent, detect and treat comorbidities in a time of resource constraints?

Presentations and discussions will include both research and clinical observations with examples from Europe and the Nordics.

The event is organized by HIV-Sweden and supported by Gilead.
